After 9 years in the UK, this is the first Christmas ever I’m out of retail. Meet Anita, my super colleague raising money for Children In Need by sewing masks and selling them to the colleagues and customers in store. #throwbackthursday A letter to my old friend: It’s been a while that i’m away from you, not that I totally forgot about you..still remember fresh the ‘go-around’ stunt, emergency mode gliding switching off your engines, having adrenaline rush while doing my first ‘stall’ manoeuvre. Do you remember those days when we used to keep the big boys like ryan air, wizzair waiting in the taxi area because we were using the runway? & how can i forget about running full speed with you & taking off in style like a falcon? What about Those announcements “ India-Echo-Lima-Lima-Echo, runway 04 ready to land”? I haven’t forgotten about you my friend, Not at all. Becoming an airline pilot was not only my dream. It was my motivation, my source of energy, my only aim in life. I guess some dreams truly are meant to be broken. From a Cadet Pilot to Retail management. That’s how life turned up side down. Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, self-improvement, and heightened devotion and worship. Fasting is used to improve self-control, encourage empathy with those less fortunate and become spiritually closer to God. Because of the Corona virus pandemic it’s been an unusual and challenging ramadan this time, unlike every other years. Taking into consideration Government’s all social distancing guidelines, we did manage to organise a small Iftar party at work with all our colleagues.Special thanks to Yaseen Feroz for arranging & supporting us to make this lovely evening come true.
