St. Marie Seattle Spokane Tampa Washington Russ Narrow United States' Industrial Lead MOSCOW, U.S.S.R.-(Reuters -Russia is continuing to close the industrial gap between it and the United States, statistics published here today showed. Television sets, washing machines and refrigerators are becoming a reality for more Russians, but most of them will still have to wait a long time to own their own car. Production figures for the first half of this year showed that 1,171,000 television sets were put on the market, 10 per cent more than during the same six-month period last year. Refrigerator production was up by 11 per cent to 444,000 units, while washing machine output zoomed 28 per cent to 1,067,000.

Motor vehicle output for the half year, much of it trucks and buses, totaled 293,000, an increase of only two per cent. Russian industrial output as of July 1 was about 55 per cent of the United States on a per capita basis. In 1957 it was 40 per cent. NIXON TO VIENNA BUDAPEST.
